Bakersfield Police looking for jewelry store burglars

Bakersfield Police are looking for suspects who burglarized a jewelry store in the 4500 block of Coffee Road.

 

On September 26, 2017 at 4:16 a.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department were dispatched to an audible burglary alarm at Fabrie Jewelers located at 4560 Coffee Road.

 

When officers arrived they discovered that a suspect had forced entry to the business and removed a large amount of jewelry. The suspect fled prior to officers arrival.

On September 29, 2017 at 1:40 a.m., a deputy with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1800 block of Julian Drive.

 

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Headspeth (35) was contacted and during a search of the vehicle, deputies located a large portion of the stolen jewelry. Investigators from the Bakersfield Police Department responded to assist, and subsequently arrested and booked Headspeth into the Kern County Jail for burglary, receiving stolen property, as well as an outstanding felony warrant.
