UPDATE: The Bakersfield Police Department now have developed a composite for a suspect involved in an alleged sexual assault on the bike path near the Park at River Walk.
According to the BPD, on Friday, July 5 a woman was walking on the bike path in the 11200 Stockdale Highway when she was approached by a man. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim and fled, according to BPD. Police did not say what time the alleged assault took place.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 35-40 years old, 5 foot 10 inches with a thin build. He had short, curly red/brown hair, tattoos on his left arm and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. He was described by police as "transient in appearance."
