Bakersfield Police need the public's help finding a suspected thief.

Officers sent out a picture Friday of a man described to be a black male, between 30 to 40 years old, about 6'2" 250 pounds, with short black hair, wearing a long white sleeved shirt and fled in a blue 2011 Ford Taurus with Nevada plates.

Officers said the man is accused of grand theft and tried to sell a vehicle to the victim, but fled with the victims money before finishing the transaction.
