The Bakersfield Police Department says a man standing in front of his home Tuesday morning was shot, sending him to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
Bakersfield Police say they were called to the area of Lomica Lane and Heibra Way at around 7:15 a.m.
Police say the suspect walked up to the victim and opened fire, shooting multiple rounds. It's not known how many times the victim was hit.
The victim sustained serious injury and was taken to the hospital, where he is in critical condition.
No arrests have been made.
