BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department says one DUI arrest was made during Tuesday night's scheduled DUI and Driver's License checkpoint.

According to a news release, the department says 817 vehicles were screened by officers during a checkpoint that was scheduled from 6 p.m. to midnight. During that time, cops say four drivers were detained for further evaluations to determine sorority influence levels and one driver was arrested for a DUI. The driver arrested for driving under the influence had a prior record of DUIs.

In addition to the DUI arrest, officers cited 22 drivers for driving without a license and 10 were found to be driving on a suspended license.
