The Bakersfield Police Department released a statement regarding the operation they had after receiving several complaints from local residents regarding burnouts and noise coming from the WinCo on Panama Lane.

According to Bakersfield Police they received several complaints from residents about reckless driving, illegally modified cars, and large crowds gathering in the area. After conducting the operation, officers cited two drivers for reckless driving, cited six drivers for drivers unlicensed or with a suspended license, impounded seven cars, and finally cited 19 drivers for vehicle code violations.

The Bakersfield Police Department said they respect car enthusiasts right to gather and enjoy their hobby together, but ask they do so without breaking any laws or they will respond by enforcing those laws.
