A man is in the hospital after being stabbed during a fight in the 3500 block of Mt. Vernon Ave.

Bakersfield police say it happened just before 6 p.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, they learned that two adult men had been involved in a fight and one of them was stabbed with a knife.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is being treated for a minor stab wound. The suspect, Christopher Hudgins, was located and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
