Bakersfield Police are investigating a shooting outside of the Family Dollar on Union Avenue.
Police say they responded to the 300 block of Union Avenue around 4:30 p.m.
Once on scene officials located a man suffering from a gun shot wound.
That man was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
Police say they are looking for a silver SUV, the driver may be connected to this crime.
