BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a stabbing call in East Bakersfield that sent one man to a local hospital Sunday evening.

BPD said the stabbing occurred at about 11:54 a.m., in the 900 block of Monterey Street.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.

A suspect has not been located, according to officials.
