BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department confirms Sequoia Middle School is currently on lock down.
BPD officials say there have been reports of social media threats, prompting the lock down at the school, located in the area of Belle Terrace and South P Street on Thursday.
BPD has officers on scene for safety and as a precaution. Police are still investigating and have not yet determined if the threat is credible.
