BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Traffic Section will be conducting a DUI/Driver's license checkpoint on May 5th for the Cinco De Mayo holiday.
The checkpoint will be located at an undisclosed location within city limits between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.
The location of the checkpoints is always picked based off statistical information gotten from areas with a history of crashes and arrests.
The effort is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Safety Administration.
