The Bakersfield Police Department will be conducting a DUI Checkpoint on Saturday.

The checkpoint will be held at an undisclosed location within city limits on May 19. It will be held between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. 

Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment. Officers will also be checking for driver's licenses as well. 

Checkpoints are placed based on collision statistics and the frequency of DUI's in the area.
