The Bakersfield Police Department will be cracking down on drunk drivers this weekend with a planned checkpoint.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a checkpoint will be setup from 6 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday. 

During a checkpoint at the end of August, Bakersfield Police arrested one driver for DUI of cannabis and 16 drivers were cited for driving while unlicensed. 

The location of this weekend's checkpoint is not being made public.
