Republicans from all over Bakersfield and Kern County came together to watch the first presidential debate. 

With a little over a month to go until election day, both candidates were facing high stakes.

For Republicans watching the event, their hope was Donald Trump showing how presidential he could act and provide details when it comes to his plans. 

The beer, wings, and pizza, kept coming out of the kitchen because those who showed up were ready for a show. 

The room was packed and there were even those who were left standing near the back just trying to get a glimpse of the action. 

At the end of the night, Trump supporters say he clearly won the debate. With the polls saying the candidates were in a relative tie before, it will be left for time to tell how they changed now that it is over.
