Bakersfield West Side Crip member sentenced to 20 years in prison

FRESNO, Calif. — A Bakersfield resident, 37-year-old Tommie Thomas has been sentenced to 20 years and six months in prison for the distribution of methamphetamine.

After a 10-month investigation, in December of 2017, upwards of 35 members of the West Side Crips, were arrested on federal and state charges, according to court documents.

In April of 2019, Thomas was charged with drug trafficking.

This specific case is the result of an FBI investigation in conjunction with other federal and state agencies.
