A woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her involvement in the death of her 1-year-old son.
Stephanie Nicole Bramlett pleaded no contest last month to willful cruelty to a child and had several charges dropped including second-degree murder.

Around 2 p.m. on July 7, 2010, deputies from the Mojave and Boron substation responded after receiving a report of a child not breathing in the 2660 block of Prospect Avenue in Boron.
When deputies arrived, paramedics were there and had arranged to have the boy airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Further investigation revealed the boy had sustained a head injury from an unknown source of trauma, deputies said.
