TEHACHAPI, Calif. — The Tehachapi Police Department is looking for a Bakersfield woman wanted for defrauding an elderly man of thousands of dollars.

Carrie Patricia Ann Martin, who may be living in Bakersfield, but has ties to Tehachapi, Palmdale and Lancaster, used an 80-year-old businessman's credit cards and checking accounts to steal from the victim, Tehachapi police said.

Martin is described as a 39-year-old white female, 5 foot 7 inches with an average build, brown hair and brown eyes. According to authorities, Martin may be working at a medical office in Bakersfield.
