Tastries Bakery is thanking first responders with American flag cookies in honor of 9/11.

The owner says her mom and her daughter were supposed to be in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Due to a bad hair day, the two were delayed and were not in the towers at the time of the attack. Now the bakery thanks first responders every year with cookies. 

The bakery is located at 3665 Rosedale Highway and is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
