UPDATE (12/12, 6:16 p.m.): Bakersfield Police said they stopped a vehicle on Tuesday they believed was related to an attempted robbery at the Baskin Robbins that was robbed at gunpoint the night before.

Police said the attempted robbery happened at the Baskin Robbins at 2110 White Lane on Dec. 12 just before 3 p.m. There was no mention of a firearm and the suspect did not get away with anything, police said.

The Baskin Robbins in south Bakersfield was robbed at gunpoint Monday night, according to Bakersfield Police.

Police received reports of the armed robbery at the ice cream shop on White and Hughes Lanes around 9:15 p.m. 

There is currently no suspect description as the suspect was covered up, police said. 

Police are investigating the robbery and are working on obtaining surveillance video. 

The suspect made off with some money. No one was injured.
