Thursday night was the second annual "Battle of the Bags" fundraiser at BMW of Bakersfield. The fundraiser allows people from across the valley to mix, mingle and bid on designer and vintage handbags all while giving back.
According to event organizers, this year the fundraiser brought in almost $10,000 going directly to the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House.
The Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" 365 days per year for the families of Kern County pediatric or NICU patients to take a break from the hospital environment.
