BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield City School District announced on Thursday that it will be implementing a modified Summer Learning Program for the 2019 school year.
Summer learning sessions will be offered at the following schools:
- Casa Loma Elementary
- Longfellow Elementary
- Stella Hills Elementary
- Emerson Middle School
For all other BCSD students, additional information on summer learning resources will be available in the coming weeks.
Additionally, the Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) Senior Leadership Team has created the following timeline with information on next steps in regards to the revision of the Summer Learning Action item in the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP):
The Board of Education will hold a public hearing on the 2018-2019 LCAP Revision on April 9, 2019 as part of a Special Board Meeting and then take action on the proposed revision during the April 23, 2019 Regular Board Meeting.
