BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — (UPDATE: April 11, 2019, 11:13 a.m.) BCSD officials say the lockdown at Evergreen Elementary has been lifted after the threat was deemed not credible.

Bakersfield City School District officials have confirmed Evergreen Elementary School is on lockdown after receiving a threat via phone this morning.

According to BCSD, the school received a threat via phone at 9:50 this morning. BCSD says the school had a late start at 10 a.m. so the threat came in before school started.

BCSD says KCSO is at the school.

Evergreen Elementary is located on Rose Marie Drive in South Bakersfield.
