BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Wednesday, Pest Control officials were called out to Beale Library in Downtown Bakersfield for reports of bed bugs.

Library officials say the bed bugs were found on Tuesday in the outside book drop receptacle which is where people can return library books.

While the book drop was treated for bugs, officials say they are not aware of any bed bugs inside the library itself but an inspection will be completed soon.
