Bernie Sanders is coming to Bakersfield

LOS ANGELES -- U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday will continue his swing through California. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will host rallies in Ventura, Pomona, San Pedro, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Bakersfield and Fresno. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues, including getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care.

Doors Open at 10 a.m. A Future to Believe In Ventura Rally, Ventura College, West Field, 4667 Telegraph Rd, Ventura

This event is free and open to public but an RSVP is strongly encouraged. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Parking is available on the West and East lots of the college campus and on public streets, carpooling is always encouraged. Public transit offered by Gold Coast Transit District. Use the Telegraph/Estates stop. From Oxnard take Route 6, from Ojai take Route 16 to Route 10, from East Ventura take Route 10, and from Port Hueneme take Route 21.

This event is free and open to public but an RSVP is strongly encouraged. General admission entrance can be found at the west gates of the stadium. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Limited on-site parking is available, carpooling is strongly encouraged.

This event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served. Public entrance at Harbor Blvd and 5th. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Free parking available at Ports O' Call Village, $2 parking (cash or credit) at Iowa Battleship parking lot. Public transportation is encouraged. Use the Harbor Blvd/6th bus stop on bus 205.

Public transit offered via MTD Santa Barbara lines 17,16,5,4, and 15x (the express line connecting UCSB and SBCC).
