Bernie Sanders is coming to Bakersfield

LOS ANGELES -- U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday will continue his swing through California. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will host rallies in Ventura, Pomona, San Pedro, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Bakersfield and Fresno. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues, including getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care.

Doors Open at 10 a.m. A Future to Believe In Ventura Rally, Ventura College, West Field, 4667 Telegraph Rd, Ventura

Parking is available on the West and East lots of the college campus and on public streets, carpooling is always encouraged. Public transit offered by Gold Coast Transit District. Use the Telegraph/Estates stop. From Oxnard take Route 6, from Ojai take Route 16 to Route 10, from East Ventura take Route 10, and from Port Hueneme take Route 21.
