Bakersfield Fire officials said they responded  to a reported fire in a first floor unit at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, located at the 5101 California Ave.

Some of the crews that responded included 3 Engines, 2 Trucks, 2 Battalion Commanders, 2 Safety Officers, 1 Info Officer, 1 Deputy Fire Chief, and 1 Arson Unit.

BFD officials said their first arriving units reported "moderate smoke showing" from a first floor guest unit of the Four Points Sheraton Hotel.

Fire crews immediately deployed hoselines to the interior of the fire unit, while BFD Truck Company Firefighters searched the second floor units directly over the first floor fire unit for victims.

BPD's arson investigators are at the scene.

No damage estimates are available at this time and no civilian or Firefighter injuries are reported.

BFD are reporting that the fire is under control.
