BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield High School is launching an all Alumni Association to connect past and present Drillers from decades of graduating classes that date back to the 1800's.
The association says the goal is to engage our outstanding alumni while providing monetary support for programs and activities at BHS such as scholarships, academic program support, fine arts, agriculture, technical programs, student activities, athletics and special projects.
The association will celebrate at the new permanent home of the school's water tower at the Kern County Museum. It was moved there in 2016 after renovations to the football stadium. Recently, money was raised to cement it into place and make it the tower's permanent home.
The inaugural All Alumni celebration will kick off the BHS Alumni Association at the Kern County Museum on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased for $60 and include dinner. There will also be a no-host bar and silent auction.
Alumni Association members will also get exclusive access to the archive of BHS's historical pictures that span over a decade.
For more information on how to join the association and how to buy tickets to the event, visit the school's website.
