A big rig hauling fruit juice caught fire on northbound I-5 just before 5 p.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The truck caught fire at around 4:45 p.m. just north of Laval Road, near the Outlets at Tejon. Nearby brush subsequently caught fire.
The incident shut down two lanes of the interstate, bringing northbound traffic to a crawl. Two lanes were expected to be closed through at least 6:45 p.m.
