A big rig fire on Southbound Highway 99 is causing slowing near the Interstate 5 junction Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig caught fire just before 4:30 a.m.
According to the CHP, the cab of the truck was fully burned and the trailer was partially burned.
Everyone inside the truck was able to get out.
No word on what caused the fire.
We're seeing major slowing on southbound Hwy 99 approaching the I-5 junction due to a big rig fire partially blocking the slow lane. Fire crews however say two lanes are blocked and the cab is destroyed. This will take a while to clean up pic.twitter.com/xyTlqlWw4g
