A portion of Highway 58 was closed Wednesday morning after a big rig hauling carrots crashed, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The truck was headed westbound on Highway 58 near Union Avenue at around 9:45 a.m. when a car crashed into it, causing the big rig driver to crash into a concrete wall, said CHP Officer Kevin Perkins.
Carrots spilled all over the highway, forcing CHP officers to close down a freeway on-ramp as well as the far right westbound lane.
Highway 58 was reopened shortly before 11 a.m.
No one was injured in the crash.
