Bike Bakersfield recently got a new volunteer and as part of a special program they have as soon as volunteers complete 20 hours of service they receive a free bicycle.

In the case of their new volunteer, who is wheel-chair bound, they will be building a custom "hand-cycle" once the volunteer completes the total 20 hours.

So far, the volunteer has only completed four hours out of the 20 hours necessary. 

This will be a first for the group.
