TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Blue Ginger Pho in Tehachapi was closed by the Kern County Public Health Department.

According to health officials, the Vietnamese restaurant located on Valley Boulevard in Tehachapi was closed because they did not "self-close" and continued operating without any hot water.

Officials say hot water is essential for cleaning equipment and utensils and warm water is important for washing hands.

Kern County Public Health Department says the inspection revealed the hot water heater has not been functioning since July 20.

It is unknown when the restaurant will re-open at this time.
