The Kern County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution Tuesday urging the Department of Defense and Congress to waive the recruitment bonus payment request from the Pentagon.
Last week Defense Secretary Ash Carter suspended all efforts to collect reimbursement from California veterans.
More than 2,000 California National Guardsmen were affected.
