The Board of Supervisors is set to take up a proposal that would allow Lyft to operate at Meadows Field.

As of right now, rideshare companies including Uber and Lyft are not authorized to pick up passengers at the airport. The contract currently up for discussion would allow Lyft to operate at Meadows Field for a year and then the contract would be up for re-negotiation.

As a result, the airport would receive additional income on a per trip basis.

The proposal is expected to go before the Board of Supervisors at their next meeting.
