BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating after a body was found inside a car in South Bakersfield.
BPD says on October 9 at about 7:40 a.m., a vehicle was found parked near Wayside Park on Ming Avenue on the sidewalk and grass.
Inside the car, officers found a dead Hispanic man. BPD says there were no obvious signs of trauma, so the death is being called suspicious. Homicide detectives are investigating.
The identity of the man and cause of death will be released by the coroner's office at a later date. Check back for updates.
