KEYESVILLE — According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, the body of an adult male was found in the Kern River near Keyesville.

On Monday the dam on Isabella lake was shut down for maintenance. As a result, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue wanted to take advantage of low water levels to search for the body of an 11-year-old girl that went missing on the Kern River on June 22, 2019. In the course of their search, the found the body of the adult male.

The Coroner’s Office will determine his identity and cause of death.
