Body found in McFarland home triggers homicide investigation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — McFarland Police Department is investigating a homicide that officials said took place early Saturday morning.

Police said at 9:09 a.m. Saturday they received reports of a person who was possibly unconscious suffering from major injuries at a residence located 134035 Frontage Road.

When investigators arrived on scene officials said they found a Hispanic man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside of the residence.

Officials declared the man dead on scene and it is now being investigated as a homicide.

Officials from the Kern County Crime Laboratory Forensic Specialist are processing the scene and interviewing witnesses.
