The Bomb Squad responded to Kern Regional Center regarding a suspicious package reported around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Bakersfield Police Department confirmed.

The building on Select Avenue was evacuated.

Officers on scene determined the package was suspicious due to some of the markings.

The investigation revealed the package was not a threat and the all clear was given around 3 p.m.
