Bomb squad officials with the Bakersfield Police Department were sent to the Amtrak Station on 16th Street regarding a suspicious suitcase.

Officials were alerted at about 5 a.m. about the suitcase that was left at the train station.

Officials said that a bag was left out and they detected an unusual odor coming from the suitcase.

The bomb squad sent out their robot to investigate the suitcase.

Officers said they found a suitcase full of clothing and grooming products.

The train station has since reopened.
