The Boys and Girl Club of Kern County was awarded a $5,000 grant from Bank of the Sierra to support the organization's after school programs. 

Kids receive help with homework and classes in STEM, fine art, dance, drama, and health and fitness at Boys and Girls Club locations.

The organization will be presented with a check on Tuesday at their Armstrong Youth Center at 3:30 p.m.
