Bakersfield Police are looking a suspect after a 22-year-old male was found shot on Chester Ave. early Saturday morning.
BPD officials say at around 2:17am, they responded to a victim of a gunshot at San Joaquin Hospital on the 2600 block of Chester Ave.
When officers arrived, contacted a 22-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper body.
The victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
The victim told authorities that he had been shot while driving S/B on Union Avenue.
A crime scene was located in the 200 block of Union Avenue and the roadway was closed for a short period of time.
The initial investigation revealed a possible suspect vehicle.
The vehicle was described as a late model white sedan.
