The Bakersfield Police Department has arrested one person and is searching for another in connection to a car theft early Wednesday morning.  According to Bakersfield Police, a car was stolen Wednesday morning, leading to a brief pursuit with officers.  The car chase ended in the area of Oregon Street just off Mt. Vernon.  Police say they arrested the driver of the car, but are currently looking for a second person who was a passenger in the car.
