BPD arrest 2 in separate stolen gun cases

Bakersfield Police Department officers arrested two people in two separate stolen gun cases over  the weekend. 

In the first case, BPD officers arrested 52-year-old Marvin Johnson on Saturday night for several firearm charges. 

Officials said at around 8:00 p.m , BPD executed a search warrant in the 1500 block of El Toro Drive.

During the search, a .40 caliber firearm was located which was later determined to be stolen. 

There were also numerous rounds of ammunition and high capacity magazines located.
 
Johnson was arrested for for several firearm charges including prior felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of high capacity magazines, and stolen property.
 
The second case occurred on Sunday night when BPD arrested 24-year-old Angel Salazar.
 

According to BPD, at around 6:45 p.m., they conducted a parole search inside Salazar's residence located on the 600 block of Rembrandt Street.

Salazar was arrested for a parole violation as well as firearm and gang related charges
