Bakersfield Police Officers arrested three people for operating a honey oil lab in South Bakersfield.

On July 4, 2016, Bakersfield Police Officers served a search warrant at 809 Wayne Drive as part of an illegal drug and weapons investigation. During the warrant service, evidence of a butane honey oil (BHO) lab was located.

Officers arrested 38-year-old Stephen Hawley, 49-year-old Larry Davis, and 29-year-old Jessica Fleeman.

Davis and Fleeman were arrested at the scene, but Hawley fled prior to officers’ arrival. A short time later, officers located Hawley and arrested him at a local motel. During his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a large amount of crystal methamphetamine.

Upon further investigation, officers learned Hawley had hidden several firearms with a family member at 3400 Grassotti Court. A search of that apartment revealed five firearms, one of which was stolen and one was a modified sawed-off assault rifle with a high-capacity magazine for it.

Davis, Fleeman, and Hawley were all arrested for the BHO lab components. Hawley was also booked with additional charges of possession of methamphetamine for sales, and weapons violations.

Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.
