Bakersfield Police officers have located and arrested the suspect wanted for auto theft. On October 2 at about 8 p.m., a man purchased a vehicle from an auto sales business located near 5600 Gasoline Alley Drive. According to police, the suspect used a fraudulent identity to purchase the vehicle.
On October 5, around 12 p.m., officers observed the stolen Saturn Sky near 2100 Cecil Brunner Drive. After stopping the vehicle, officers identified the driver as 40-year-old Jason Rigsby, who was taken into custody.
Police said that Rigsby was booked for auto theft, forgery, identity theft, possession of stolen property and several other fraud related charges.
