On June 12, 2017 at 9:30 p.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Flower Street.
During a search of the vehicle officers located a loaded .40 caliber handgun, which was confirmed to have been stolen from a residential burglary.
The suspect, Ryan Kemp (27) of Bakersfield, was arrested for firearms violations and participation in a criminal street gang.
