BPD arrest one; one suspect still outstanding

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the public's help with information regarding the whereabouts of a suspect.

According to BPD, on Sunday evening officers attempted to stop a car in the area of Niles Steet and Mount Vernon Avenue. BPD says the car failed to stop and led officers on a short pursuit before crashing into a parked, unoccupied car.

Two suspects fled on foot. One of the suspects was located nearby and arrested. The other suspect is still outstanding.

During an investigation, officers found the car was reported stolen from San Luis Obispo County. They also located ammunition and methamphetamine in the stolen car.

19-year-old Daryl Boggan was booked into Kern County Jail for possession of a stolen car, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding felony arrest.
