BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield police held a DUI driver's license checkpoint overnight.
The checkpoint was in the 8600 block of Hageman Road. Police say more than 1,100 cars were screened by officers.
Five people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, one person was arrested for public intoxication and one person was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Twenty-eight people were cited for driving without a license or on a suspended license.
