Bakersfield Police said a child was hit by a vehicle around 4 p.m. Monday in Southwest Bakersfield.
The child was in an alley near S Halfmoon Drive and Ashe Road when the vehicle hit the child.
The child was transported to a local hospital with a broken leg.
Bakersfield Police have not said what caused the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
