Parents, do you question yourselves after installing your child’s car seat, or ask, “Did I really need that strap or is the seat supposed to be this loose?”  Your child’s life depends on that car seat!  

It is imperative to make sure your child’s car seat is properly installed.  Protect your children by using size appropriate car seats or seatbelts for older children.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is partnering with the Bakersfield Police Department to host a FREE CAR SEAT CHECK UP EVENT. 

Parents/Guardians are encouraged to bring their children along with their car seat and have it inspected by specially-trained Child Safety Seat Technicians. 

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Babies R Us located at 9280 Rosedale Highway.
