BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to Bakersfield police, the department is conducting an annual training session at Family Community Fellowship on Brimhall Road between Calloway and Jewetta Avenue.

Officials tell 23ABC that the training will continue to about 2 p.m. Thursday.

This is their combined practice scenario with all of their special operations including SWAT, crisis negotiators, drones, Bakersfield Fire and more.

People in the area may hear announcements over the PA system, but this is only training.
